The Dodgers Bats are Red Hot

This week Freddie Freeman almost hit for the cycle on Tuesday, June 21, vs the Reds in Cincinnati, Ohio. Freeman hit a double in the 3rd inning. Then, he got a single in the 4th. Finally he hit a triple in the 8th. The next day he hit a homerun.

Fun fact #1: 6 years ago on June 16th, 2016 while playing for the Braves, Freddie Freeman hit for his first cycle against the Cincinnati Reds! He completed the cycle in that game by hitting a single in the 11th inning.

Fun fact #2: Freeman has hit for 2 cycles in his career. He said something funny after hitting his for his second cycle: "My wife [ and I,] we had breakfast this morning and we had two cappuccinos delivered -- and she chose the cappuccino and she handed it to me and said this is the one with a lot of hits in it. So I have to give this one up to my wife, Chelsea, because if it wasn't for the right cappuccino pick, I wouldn't be here talking to you guys," Freeman said.
