On August 26th the Dodgers won in the 16th inning. It was the longest baseball game since the MLB changes the extra inning rules to speed up the game. It was a face off between two of the best pitchers in baseball Walker Buelher and Blake Snell. Blake Snell pitched to the 7th inning and gave up 1 run. Walker Buelher went to the 7th and gave up 1 run. In the 14th inning the Dodgers scored 2 runs in the top of the inning but the Padres scored 2 runs so they had to keep going. In the top of the 15th inning the Dodgers scored another 2 runs but then Tatis Jr knocked in 2 runs for the Padres in the bottom of the 15th inning . Finally A.J. Pollock hit a two run home run to win the game in the 16th inning because the Padres weren’t able to score any more runs. The Dodgers had to use all of their pitchers to make it to the 16th inning and finally win.
Wow … crazy, long game!
